Here is the winning entry for the weekly brainpower contest:
(For rules and to see other winners, see the page Brainpower Tips Contest.)
Hi, I am not sure if you already have these techniques, but it always helps me to drink water and sit and breathe in a pattern for several minutes. For example. small breath in (slowly), big breath in (quickly), big breath out (quickly), small breath out (slowly) and repeat several times.
Also aside
from helping concentration, a method to relax, other than being
blindfolded and the other mediation techniques you mentioned,
is to lay down, close your eyes, and pretend you are getting
an imaginary massage, it works for me.
Truly Yours,
Thank you Jonathan, and I hope that you like the prize. Many of the breathing techniques that subscribers suggest seem to help clear the mind.
I haven't tried an imaginary masssage, but it sounds relaxing. Thanks again for the entry.
Note: In order to get the newsletter put together and have this page up before that, I have to pick a winner just two or three days after each newsletter. However, if you sent any ideas in later, I may use them for the following weeks.
